10:45am - Be-coming Aware of Feel
Horsewoman Stefanie Travers shows how slowing down with our horses world and just 'Being' allows a greater opportunity for awareness. What are they thinking and feeling? What are we thinking/feeling? This heightened awareness then begins to unfold into a chance to explore that mysterious word of 'feel' with one of the most sensitive creatures in the world...
The path was laid for me at the age of 5, as my 11 hh pony played the ever popular 'Scrape the Kid Off With Tree Branches, and Run Amok Til She Catches You Again and Climbs back On, repeat As Necessary' Game. From then on, I knew my life would revolve around these magical, powerful, gentle and amazing creatures. After some time on the Human Hamster Wheel of passionless jobs, with horses as a 'hobby', I finally set off down the bridle path to my dreams.
Cattle Station work in the Australian Outback, Guide Outfitting, Professional Farrier and Trimmer, Natural Horsemanship and Foundation Development on young horses, with a strong emphasis on including their human in the skills needed to be an at home success. Along with several courses in alternative healing methods, such as Reiki, and in depth personal growth, all combined to allow me to purse my true passion and joy of helping to empower both horse and human to explore their own journey to their highest potential. To watch the horse unfold into their true selves, with confidence, willingness and exuburance, and then to see the same happen with their people is a blessing. I currently live and work out of Merritt, B.C., and conduct small, intimate clinics and camps on the Island, Lower Mainland and at home.
